Self Confidence
enhancing and strengthening your self confidence

self confidence Whether it is shyness, or the inabality to speak confidently and stand up for yourself or your opinions, a lack of confidence in your self affects the way you communicate in the world and how others respond to you.

Sometimes lack of confidence may be felt as anxiety or come across as aggression, when all you want to do is express yourself clearly. When you have problems with self confidence, they can show up in your life in many different ways...

Creating self confidence with new thought patterns

Your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours are all connected. Each influences the other, creating a network of activity that drives your level of self confidence. With the techniques we offer, these patterns of feelings, thoughts, responses and behaviours are brought into balance. You feel more confident, have a stronger belief in yourself and you communicate differently, more effectively.

When you have low levels of self confidence you have low expectations of yourself. Once these patterns are interrupted and shifted this allows for more positive, creative thoughts and your self esteem grows.

We also teach you specific conscious techniques, which are quick, fun and enjoyable. You can use them in specific situations or around certain people that you find challenging. You begin to talk to yourself in more positive, creative ways. From these new and better thought patterns you achieve true self confidence.

The study of NLP came about from the desire to discover 'patterns of excellence' in people. The early NLP'ers studied those people who had good self esteem, confidence, integrity, credibility and were happy people. The results of those studies were looked at to find the difference which makes the difference in people. 'Patterns' of positive thinking were discovered and techniques were developed to 'model' these positive thought patterns.

Techniques were discovered to shift negative, unhelpful thoughts to more positive, productive thoughts, resulting in confident feelings and behaviours. These are the techniques we use today and they have been enhanced with the work of Neuro Semantics.

Delving into the reasons why, blaming or trying to find the cause of low self confidence or self esteem does not help and is not a part of the process. The results you want in achieving a good healthy self confidence and self respect come about with the help of a three-pronged approach:

The processes are interesting, enjoyable and fun and you discover a lot about yourself. It is good to feel good... everybody benefits when you feel more confident and happy. Communication flows more freely, you think more creatively and you have more energy.

How long will change take?

Depending on your specific Self Confidence needs it usually takes three to four sessions, sometimes less, or more, depending on the severity of your negative, inhibiting patterns. Sessions are positive and uplifting and you get helpful shifts in a relatively short time. Previous clients have been very happy with the results and many quite surprised about how soon they started to think in a much more positive, constructive way.
